Have you hired the right people and how do you get them to give you their best performance?
Assessment
centres are an interactive selection tool for organisations that are
committed to achieving quality commercial results through their people.
With the cost of poor performance and hiring increasing in today’s
dynamic market, top performing organisations have identified the value
that Assessment Centres can add to their recruitment process.
Organisation and role specific, this tool can be designed for use at
all levels of the organisation and serves as a valuable and cost
effective means of assessing larger numbers of candidates within valid
and reliable parameters.
Tal-os and
its partner Chandler Macleod have extensive experience in the design
and delivery of assessment and development centres across all
industries and levels from process workers, office & call centre
staff, graduates and specialised professionals through to senior
management level. We have partnered with clients in both commercial and
government organisations.
Our assessment centres comprise a range of exercises and simulations to
ensure a comprehensive coverage of the relevant competencies.
Assessment exercises may include ability tests, personality
questionnaires, behavioural interviews and various individual and group
exercises.
They type and number of exercises is generally decided following an
analysis of the competencies and the various stages of the recruitment
process.
The
different types of exercises typically found at assessment centre range
from, group exercises, through to one-on-one role plays. The exercises
can be ‘customised’ to be realistic and representative of the target
role or exercises can be selected that are ‘generic’, off the shelf
exercises. Off the shelf exercises will often not provide scenarios
that simulate the job quite so closely, but will be designed to elicit
similar competencies from candidates, whilst placing them in more
generic simulations. |
